Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") before using Helios Solar Monitor ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Helios Solar Monitor provides estimates and forecasts of solar photovoltaic production based on the installation parameters you enter and data from third-party weather, climate, and PV-modelling services. The App is a planning and monitoring aid.
2. No Warranty on Estimates
Production figures, financial projections, and forecasts are estimates generated from models and third-party data. Actual energy production depends on many real-world factors (equipment condition, shading, soiling, grid availability, measurement accuracy of third-party data, etc.). Helios Solar Monitor does not guarantee the accuracy of any estimate and must not be the sole basis for investment, engineering, or safety decisions. Always validate critical figures with a qualified professional and on-site measurements.
3. Manual Production Records
Where the App allows you to enter actual production values, you are responsible for the correctness of the data you enter.
4. Subscriptions
The App offers auto-renewing subscriptions:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in App Store → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
- Prices are shown in the App prior to purchase and may vary by region.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the App, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, and its content (excluding third-party data) are owned by the developer and protected by applicable law.
7. Third-Party Data
The App relies on third-party services (Open-Meteo, NASA POWER, PVGIS, Forecast.Solar, Apple Maps). Their availability and accuracy are outside our control, and their use is subject to their respective terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App or reliance on its estimates.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.
